i really like how asset sounds on my setup, especially if i live transcode stuff to WAV.
and i like that DSD is presented correctly.
so i plan to buy it.
but before that, i really want to know if i can achieve what i want.

I have my entire CD collection (about 1TB worth) Ripped in both LAME 3.100 MP3 and FLAC 1.5 This latest release has a new LAME version, that while it may be better, I would prefer to stay on what I have (3.100), but would like all the other update features. I consistently get the message that CD Ripper cannot access my folder specified using SET destination folder -
Upgraded CD Ripper today to 2025-11-12 (not sure if that is relevant). I did not make any changes to my normal settings (multi encoder - FLAC and m3) and tried to rip a CD, but got the same error on every track:
