There seems to be a bug with "Artist Sort" and "Album Artist Sort".
I can set "Artist" and "Album Artist" to "AC/DC" without a problem. However, if I set "Artist Sort" or "Album Artist Sort" to "AC/DC" it insists...

Tiny FRs that can really help classical people.
So most track titles in the classical music world are something like this:
"Eine Alpensinfonie, op. 64: Sonnenaufgang"
Typically, the thing before the ":" (or some other delimiter) is the work name, and the thing after is the movement name. The work name... -

How to preserve date of converted files?
First post here.
Been using DB on my Macs for years with no issues. Very simple usage.
Due to how I have my current music library set up I want to make sure that when I convert files (for the most part, from FLAC to AIFF), the date attached to that newly converted file... -
CD Ripper not retaining track years
I just upgraded to the newest version 2022-09-28. When I rip compilations, I always add the correct year to each track individually. Subsequent retrieval of the metadata in previous versions retained the correct year for each track. However, in the newest version, inserting a cd after it has been ripped... -

Saving Metadata to disc
I enter all the Metadata for an album and it get's lost if the computer or dBpoweramp freezes up or if power goes out while ripping. Basically, anything that prevents the disc being ejected normally. I think the Metadata is being saved to disc when the CD is ejected. I was wondering if this could be...Last edited by HowlinMad; May 31, 2021, 04:39 PM. -
Tags Asset UPnP is able to use
I'm glad to read that
Classical tracks typically do not fit well into the standard artist >> album, browsing method. Apple introduced Work and Movement tags, if your tracks are tagged with these you can browse to Additional >> Composer / Work >> Work. Here... -

Codec Tags
Hi sir,
Iām converting some songs from mp3 to m4a using dbpoweramp.
After finishing converting I see that the codec tags have additional text after āMPEG-4 AACā.
If you can help me to remove that information after the codec itself I would be very pleased. Thanks. -
Another Tagging for Dummies Qu .... Multi-work Albums
Some CD Albums have two or more works on them, eg, Beethoven's 6th & 8th Symphonies.
Im wondering what is the best practice here ... treat as a single album, or split into two 'logical' albums.
If one keeps it as a single Album, the each movement (track) has to have... -

WAV tags invisible in any other program
Hello Forum,
I've been using dBPoweramp for years to tag big amounts of WAV files. I'm using the Windows Explorer shell right-click "Edit ID-Tag" function. It seems to be working normal when I use it, but now the tags edited and shown in dBpoweramp do not show up in ANY other... -
ID Tagging shows
I am trying update a tag. When I go into the line it may show a number of artists with similar names and covers the entire file not allowing me to add title. I can only go back into it if I save the artist tag and close the window and then go back into ID tag and add the title. Is their a work around... -
