    AAC files!

Yesterday I upgraded to the latest version 2023 (ref) in order to convert some AAC files to m4a, but each file I try will not convert. The log reports corrupt files.
AFAIK the files are not corrupt, they play just fine, and other software will convert these files.
    I feel that I wasted...

    Adding container to aac files

I have a lot of aac files that I would like to add a popular container to without growing file size significantly or de-coding/re-encoding the audio. Is there a utility at dBPowerAmp for this or any other site? I'd prefer a GUI utility as I'm not comfortable with DOS. Thanks in advance.

    m4a Codec

I am clearly missing a trick here. Due to a glitch I have had to reinstall my dbpoweramp software. I now do not have a encoder for m4a AAC (non apple). All the boomph tells me that m4a is included with dbpoweramp, but can I find it? No. In my encoder folder there is an m4a (Nero).ico file for mp4 but...

    Convert entire iTunes library

I have over 3,000 CDs that I put in my iTunes library several years ago in M4A, and I would like to convert and make a duplicate library in MP3 format to play on more devices. I would like to purchase Dbpoweramp, but want to make sure it will do what I need it to do first. Since they are all entire...

  • "Error writing audio data to stdin pipe" with all aac files

I'm doing a bulk multi-conversion that includes (and must include) several different AAC files, in LC mode and HEv2 as well as M4A. I've been successfully making these exact same conversions for over a year, but suddenly the AACs are all failing, giving the error message:

Why is the apple m4a is so large?

I am trying to convert my flac files to apple's AAC format.

I am using ANYMP4 converter and dbPoweramp converters. The first generates raw AAC files; the latter generates m4a files. What surpised me most is the size difference on the output files (for the same quality: 256kbps). ...

  • My friend told me that M4P can be converted into M4A?

Recently, I have changed my iPhone 6 to newly bought OnePlus 5, however, it is so sad that I found that ALL my Apple Music songs can't be transferred to My OnePlus 5. I asked my friend why, and he told me that all encrypted into the format of M4P, and it can be converted into M4A in some Music Converter....

    Performer tag after m4a conversion

I have converted some files to m4a which include the metadata tag "Performer". I know iTunes does not use this tag (yet!), but other software does. However, I cannot seem to read the Performer tag in the converted file in any of my other software. Foobar shows it as being blank, MP3tag does...

  • Metadata not being copied when converting M4A to MP3

Hey, have been using dBpoweramp Music Converter (now v16) for many years now and I'm now converting a major folder tree (over 800k files) from M4A to MP3.

In testing, for some reason its not keeping the file metadata which I really need for 'legal hold' purposes, specifically dates. ...

  • FDK AAC Output inconsistent for different players

DBPoweramp Reference 15.1, FDK Release 2.1

When using FDK AAC to convert files to AAC HEv2, players are not reading the files equally.

Winamp sees HEv2 files correctly, in Stereo.
