i was thinking that maybe you should add full video prcessing (avi shouldn't be too hard) and maybe rename it to dbpowerAMP Media Converter (it would still have the initials dmc)

Nice idea,

Most of the compression codecs are available in Windows ACM
or as an Adobe Premiere plug-in which could probably be
integrated in the new structure (driven by "codec" dll's like we
do for audio). A CLI codec could probably also be created for
driving external programs.

What do you think Spoon, nice little project for the winter months?

I wouldn't mind helping out...

Best regards,
Daren.

not just audio but also the video. at first maybe just start off with avi's because they are the easiest. because a lot of the time people need to recompress video and it would be very nice to have it integrated all in to one application

maybe later you could start one other formats like wmv. (then you would have the only program that could convert from wmv to avi. of course you would have to disable converting from wmv files if it is protected.

Visuals?? Did I hear something about visuals?? Would love to see them available with dAP.. like Winamp has.

But if you do incorporate a video player, make sure the video plays right side up please. :D Winamp3 didn't do a very good job with video.
