Split hidden track into seperate track

I like the ability to remove the silence between the song and the hidden track at the end of some albums. But I would actually prefer to split the track into 2: song and hidden.

Agree, it would be pretty cool if there was a db that identified songs with a hidden 2nd track, and the cut points to split it into song1 x silence x song2

Another vote for this one!! It's great to be able to cut that silence out, but seperate tracks would be great!

I knew of this DSP. It just removes the silence between the track and the hidden track... It doesn't separate the two tracks, which I believe is what the original poster was looking to do.

A DSP that would split the two tracks would be quite useful to me as well.

My fault, I didn't read the original question close enough. Personally, what I do in this case is manually split the files, so a DSP that does this automatically would be welcome to me also.

What software do you use to manually split the tracks? I have some albums that I'd like to manually move the tracks to different places as well.

Normally just use the WavEdit that comes with the Nero Burning software package.

Yeah I use WaveEditor with Nero as well but consider me another vote that would love to split hidden tracks out via a DSP as well

I hate to dig up an old thread, but i thought it would be better than starting a new one.

Splitting of the track definitely gets my vote.

So can it be done? And if so, will it happen?

Edit: I just noticed EliC already has this in the feature request for R14.

This is what I would like to see in dBpoweramp.

I presently use Audiograbber to remove silence from hidden tracks and split them as I find it a relatively easy process.

With Audiograbber, you are able to set the start, and set the end of a rip.
You can do this by pressing the Play button, and waiting for the track to start or finish, then press the applicable button to set the start or end of the rip.

To get to this screen. Right click the track > Properties.



I rip these hidden tracks to WAV.


By the way. I hate them putting so called hidden tracks on albums. :vmad:
