Re: Asset Control Discussions
Is there a way to use the browse tree to only display ratings 3 and over? I realise that I can do an advanced search, but that just gives me a huge list of tracks. Could I spoomehow configure the browse tree so I can go to Artist, then album, then only display tracks with ratings 3 and over?Leave a comment:

Yes and if it cannot find a supported format it sets the red circle.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset Control Discussions
Excellent control point. Iam am however experiencing a problem (bug?) I have a STORA library with FLAC files and a WD TV Live box and am running Windows 7. I am getting the red circle when trying to play FLAC files. Does the control point check with the renderer to see whats playable? Is this in the list of fixes?

Rating is not part of the upnp spec, so for now the answer is no.Leave a comment:

Hi Spoon, Now using Asset UPnP 4.1, Renaissance, and Asset Control, and I'm really impressed with the combination. I have only one request. Is there any way of displaying the track rating in the track listing in Asset Control?Leave a comment:

Re: Asset Control Discussions
We will only release it when reaches a certain level of quality, but yes it is not a priority product for us right now. (internally we do have an iOS Asset Control, but is also being developed slowly).Leave a comment:

Re: Asset Control Discussions
At the risk of making myself unpopular with my first post, what is going on with Asset Control?
It's been over 2 years since this was announced - and no product has appeared (on Windows, much less iOS).
I'd rather pay pippin the money for iPeng - at least it's available and supported. I've no confidence that Asset Control will ever appear and, if it does, that it will continue to be developed to support the various platforms on which I need it. And this is a shame - because it looks good, and seems to be quite quick at managing my 20,000+ track FLAC library. However, computer based audio has enough variables in it that require my continual attention, I don't need another one from a control point.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset Control Discussions
Hi,
What would be your recommended max amount of songs in a playlist? I tried to add my entire library as an experiment (about 9000 flac songs) and it didn't bode well. It created the list but I was unable to clear it without everything freezing. I ended up having to uninstall upnp and control and re-install them both to get back to a clear playlist.
Many thanks, NickLeave a comment:

Re: Asset Control Discussions
I must have been doing something wrong. I restarted Asset UPnP, and Thai script looks ok now. No question marks.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset Control Discussions
Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug? The Thai script characters appear as question marks in the artist's name, but the Thai script appears correctly in the track names.
