    Re: dBpoweramp Renaissance UPnP broken?

ok, I think I can pull my question back - I had been running uPlayer-upnp.exe (too tempting), but with uplayer.exe things go better indeed!

    dBpoweramp Renaissance UPnP broken?

I would also like to know whether uPlayer is still maintained. I am having serious problems using it via UPnP. In fact, I was able to start playback a few times, but now then it stopped working. I am using different control points, but most file silently. The one I am writing showsm a socket timeout getting some control.xml file.

    Is this thing broken?

Is this (awesome) project still maintained? I have a question around Linn extension support. None of my CP's can see a playlist source for the device in the most recent release, just the upnpav one? (this using kinsky and also songbook). Am I missing something?

Sorry, forgot to mention I already tried that. There are two options in the drop down menu, 44.1/16 and 44.1/24 and neither one works in Renaissance. Both work fine in Foobar.

Yes, on the advanced page, try setting cd quality 44.1khz, 16 bit

If you mean in the sound section of the control panel it is the default. In fact it is the only device listed there as all others are unused and disabled. Is that what the -1 in the command line means...use default?

Try setting that output as the default.

    Re: dBpoweramp Renaissance Discussions

I have just downloaded and started playing with this. I am having trouble getting WASAPI to work. I am running Win 7 64 bit. I am using BubbluPnp on my Android tablet as the controller and Asset Upnp as the library. Everything works when I start Renaissance normally. However when I try to use WASAPI I can't get ti to work. I have tried various numbers from -1 to 5, I have tried various combinations of description from the control panel sound section. It works fine in Foobar (which is not running at the same time by the way.) The drop down in Foobar says WASAPI:S/PDIF (M-Audio Delta AP192) and I have tried using that in place of the -1 to no effect. What am I doing wrong? All other sound cards on the system have been disabled and there is nothing else running that would interfere.

Might be sound card related, it works for me. Check nothing else has the sound card open, as WASAPI requires exclusive access to the card.

Has anyone got this to work? WASAPI with my onboard SoundMax audio doesn't work.

    i.e. uPlayer.exe -zone="WASAPI:-1:dBpoweramp Renaissance"

The following work fine, however I would like to use WASAPI:

    uPlayer.exe -zone="waveout:0:SoundMax Speakers"
uPlayer.exe -zone="waveout:1:SoundMax Digital Output via HDMI"
    uPlayer.exe -zone="waveout:2:SoundMax SPDIF"

Is this a driver issue or dBpoweramp Renaissance issue?

    TIA.
