Disappointing, but understandable. Thanks for the reply.

FYI, I did hit a bug uninstalling this on my test machine. Something about missing SpoonUninstall.exe or something similar. I worked around it by running the installer again, letting it uninstall, and then cancelling during the reinstall.

It is unlikely to be updated.

    Hi,

I'm testing this with AssetUPnP and it seems to work great! But I am curious if this is officially discontinued. It's been a long time since an update was released but it also seems to work great and is supposed to remain tiny so maybe it just hasn't needed one? It does seem fine on windows 11. This is the only windows renderer I've been able to find that can run as a service, love being able to use it without logging in.

    Thanks!

Well, I reinstalled and it's working again.

No, the example scripts do nbot work. Same error.

    Hi,

sorry for grabbing this thread again. But I have the renaissance version 0.9 installed on windows 10.
I marked each executle with "compatible with windows 7". Everything works fine.

But I want to control the uplayer via vbs. But under windows 10 I cannot create the com object uplayer.uplayerdb ... (class not registered).

    Any help on this ?

    Thanks you very much

    Regards
    Ulli

The typelib for uPlayer makes it appear to be an OLE Automation object like DMCScripting and the uPlayer interfaces appear to be compatible with OLE Automation, but I can't locate the name of the automation object for uPlayer anywhere. Is there one? Some scripting languages like Perl expect one.

Asset server can do this, if you set it to transcode to wave, you can specify a maximum frequency and bits.

    Spoon,

I like how light this renderer is. I saw that replay gain dsp could be added. Is there any way to add a re-sampling dsp? A couple of my dacs don't support all of the sample rates so there are songs at the unsupported sample rates that won't play when using WASAPI (waveout of course works fine) (e.g. re-sample 192 K to 96K, and 176.4 K/88.2K to 44.1K).

I mostly use Asset UPnP - but last I checked it doesn't do sample rate conversion (that would also solve my problem). What's your prevailing philosophy on this - should the server or the render ideally provide this type of conversion?

    Thanks!
