    Re: dBpoweramp Renaissance Discussions

Just updated to Beta 0.9. WASAPI seems fixed...no more static. However, now the Windows volume gets reset to 40 each time I play something. I reset the volume to 100 and hit play on my control (BubbleUPnP) and the volume is reset to 40. It was my understanding that under WASAPI the volume slider would have no effect. The window says I am using WASAPI so I don't know. Also I still can't play the first track in the playlist when using Renaissance as the renderer.

Yes, previously, I selected the 4th card output: Speakers(SoundMAX Integrated D

Also, not sure that Modem 3 Line Playback should be listed here.

I'm running Renaissance into a Wyred4Sound Dac 2 via WSAPI. Working great.

    Thanks, Spoon!

No. I have also just tried foobar2000 with WASAPI and that plays fine.

There's also a bug in the dBpoweramp Renaissance Configuration. If I select WaveOut in Audio Output and click OK, it does not remember the selected output device when I re-launch the Configuration.

My PC has onboard audio running the SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio drivers. This is a pretty standard onboard audio option.

I can play tracks in Winamp and WASAPI plug-in fine, but I cannot get uPlayer.exe and WASAPI (dBpoweramp Renaissance Beta 0.90) to play anything. uPlayer.exe and WaveOut is fine.

    Any ideas?

Is there any chance of getting aversion of this compiled for ARM? I'm really interested to try this on a RaspberryPi or similar; USB DAC attached, etc, etc.

Would of course, be running under WINE...

Would it be possible to get the previous version of Renaissance to see if that solves my problem? Also, I just got an upgrade to my surround processor and it now includes a USB input. When I use Renaissance in WASAPI mode I get a lot of static and it is unlistenable. When I use waveout there is no static but the files aren't played in their native resolution. They are played at whatever the driver is set at. If I use Foobar WASAPI (Event) everything plays fine and at native resolution. Is there an update for your WASAPI.dll or is there something else I can do? I really like Renaissance as it is the only thing I have found to do gapless uPnP playback.

    Thanks,
    John

You can also try foobar as the control point also.

OK, installed Asset Control on a PC. When I navigate to a CD and press "Play Album" the tracks are enqueued but nothing happens. If I then click the play button or double click the first track in the playlist then play begins. Not really familiar with this software so I don't know if that's what's supposed to happen.

As a test try Asset Control as the control point.
