    Re: Discussion of dMC R13

I just came back here while upgrading & rebuilding my home PC from scratch (re-format C partition & re-install everything). I've been using the free dbPoweramp to do mp4 conversion for download to my smartphone so I wanted to see if there were updates before re-installing. I've now looked more carefully and it looks to me as if I should pay money for the very reasonably priced dbPoweramp Reference edition so that I can simplify my setup and dispense with the previous EAC/FLAC/mp3tag/AlbumCoverArtDownloader set of tools that I was using for my initial rips that I store in maximum fidelity for my home Slimserver/Squeezebox setup before also converting them to a mirror mp4 file tree for download to my Windows Mobile device.

Anyway, my question is that this thread says R13 is for sale but as of the time of writing this post the trial download link on the web site for the Reference edition still shows 12.4. Is this due to be updated soon and, if not, then is there any way I can get access to the final beta/release-candidate to test?

I'm pretty sure I need R13 because I'm a Kaspersky user plus I do want to trial first to check the mp3 tagging (I need to make sure it can create ALBUMSORT and ARTISTSORT tags conveniently for each FLAC track) and album art stuff (I don't want album art in my tags, just as a single folder.jpg file in each album directory) works as I hope.

    Correct

It will be a free download for Reference, but like CD Writer it might require a newer version of Reference (such as R14 if it needs anything changing in dMC).

I think if you do a registered link retrieval, you should get a link offering to purchase them upgrade to r13. However, I'm not 100% sure.

Another question, Spoon: you stated Sveta will be in r13 Reference, will it just be a free download for r13 Reference users when it's available?

The CD ripper. Though apparently it was a fluke, as I'm able to click and drag the scrollbar now just fine. Weird.

    dBpoweramp Configuration, or CD Ripper?

Not sure why, but in the final dMC r13, when going into the ID Tag Options, the scrollbar isn't clickable to where I can drag it to where I want. I can use the mousewheel to scroll or the arrow keys to scroll down through the options one a time.

OK, now I got it. I clicked the "Download" button behind the text "dBpoweramp Music Converter R12.4 (Registered)" and obtained Powerpack R13.

Somehow it was not clear to me, thanks.

@fukurou: It is possible now to upgrade to Ref R13 from Power Pack (on retrieval page).
Yes, I know. But how can I upgrade from Powerpack R12 to Powerpack R13? I bought R12 1 year ago under the terms of free upgrades for life. Is this still valid?

Oh, the final is out? Looks so in http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc-power-register.htm , though not http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm ;-)

    (1) Should we install the final on top of existing, just as we did with the beta?

    (2) Changes compared to most recent beta?
