To change just track 2, click the text for track 2 on Musicbrainz, not the button.

I'm not talking about the buttons, but the spelling for each track.
If I manually change the spelling on track 1, and then click on the spelling from MusicBrainz for track 2, track 2 is updated and track 1 is reverted back to default spelling.

By desin, those buttons are to move the whole data set from a provider across. It is case aware but within its confidence system.

In the Manual Meta Review ALT+M, if I manually change the name of one track and then press the looked up data of another track, my manual changes are undone.
Is this by design or a bug?

Is there any way the make the Manual Meta Review case aware?

Cue sheet writing will appear shortly after R13 release (DSP effects should be able to handle them).

Sure, but here dBpoweramp apparently "disagrees with the metadata providers". No big issue though (easily dealt with manually), but since you have both this phenomenon and the PerfectMeta messup on HTOA, it might be some more general bug.

A bit curious that the software allows a CD without track 1 (then on the other hand, allowing track 0 is, I guess, out of standard -- though all fair with me.)

Might be somewhere else than just in PerfectMeta. A particular CD (Bal-Sagoth: Starfire Burning Upon The Ice-Veiled Throne of Ultima Thule) gives the opposite problem: It enumerates the tracks from 2 through 11 (no track 1!) with track 2 as "CD-ROM Track".
    • The CD has data track and 10 audio tracks.
    • PerfectMeta reveals that AMG lists track 1 as data track and then audio, just as MusicBrainz does: http://musicbrainz.org/release/3a5d1...a868813dd.html (and Discogs, http://www.discogs.com/release/384280 ). Since EAC lists it the same way, I suppose freedb also does.
    • dBpoweramp, though, lists track 2 as "CD-ROM Track" and then names the tracks consecutively. As a result, all audio tracks get wrong names (the last track name disappears).

All drives can rip hdcd (it is encoded in the audio stream).

Wishlist: A line in the log file saying "Pre-emphasis" if detected. Flagging is simple, processing can wait -- in the very least I could stack away those CDs for later.

Also, re HDCD: can all drives rip HDCD? If not, are there drives which can detect but not rip? In the latter case, does dBpoweramp still log?

No, we hope to add a pre-empth dsp which would add that, but not for a while.

Will this information show up in the .log file?
