Hi Spoon, i know this may not belong here in the DSP Beta's thread, but i would prefer to be able to add Album Art to multiple files without having to re-encode files.
Hi Spoon, I'm having problem with DSP "Maximum Lenght" and "Fade".
If I set Maximun Lenght, let's say to 10 sec and than I add a Fade out to 1.5 sec, I don't receive any error but the audio file is correctly cut but not faded!
Am I wrong with something?
It seems that the the tool is adding fade to the part that will be cut off.
Consider that I've tried both sequencies: max lenght or fade first.
If I use fade alone, it works.
Many thanks!
Update to DSP effects
DirectX updated to fix crashing,
DirectX no longer crashes on my system.
But when I try to use Izotope Ozone 3.10 I get:
Error converting to test, 'C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\raccoon demo.mp3' to 'C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\raccoon demooz.mp3'
Error: CDXClient::FillBuffer [clDSP::PassAudioBlock]
I also tried putting bit depth before Ozone to go 32 bit float, then after to go back to 16 bit, but got the same error.
Cakewalk Sonitus:eq DX plugin seems to run without errors, but the settings aren't reflected in the output file. I tried making a radical eq change, but only minimal change resulted.
VST plugin UAD-1 Cambridge EQ seems to hang the user interface for a few seconds. It will do something, then hang, then another control on the UI will disappear for a few seconds, and then hang for another few seconds.
The UAD-1 Plate 140 VST works better with minimal hangs, but the resulting audio file has some pops in it.
Grabber (downloaded today) is exhiting odd behavior, most particularly with FLAC files. The procedure I am using is to take a file, call up dMC R12, convert to another format and using the Grabber DSP to create 30 second samples in the output format.
30 second samples from Monkeys or mp3 or wavepack to mp3 seem to go ok. But converting from FLAC I get the following message:
Error converting to mp3 (Lame), 'G:\-itunes network folder\Live in New York City-Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band 2\Darkness at the Edge of Town.flac' to 'G:\Samples\Darkness at the Edge of Town.mp3'
md5 did not match decoded data, file is corrupt.
(This appears to be true for many different FLAC files, it is true whether I convert to mp3, to wave, to wavepack, or to FLAC).
The other oddity is that whether I get this error message or not, the resulting mp3 samples will play in WinAmp, WMP or Foobar but not in dAP. dAP will play 30 second samples from FLAC to Wave or Wavepack, and it will play some (but not all) mp3 samples from mp3 files. (I am not using the FLAC beta).
Some of this looks like a problem with the Grabber DSP and FLAC, other parts look like a compatibility problem with dAP (where other players will play these files but not dAP, dAP is playing other files including Wave or Wavepack sample files OK).
If you can help shed some light on this, I would be grateful (as always).
