    Selecting 'DirectX Plugin' assert

First up, thanks for an awesome tool. I am lost without DbPoweramp, hence why I am dying for DirectX Plugins to work !

I know its WIP, but just letting you know that when I select DirectX Plugin as a DSP, I get an instant assert:
    =======================
AppName: musicconverter.exe AppVer: 12.0.1.2 ModName: unknown
    ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00000110
    =======================

I am running WinXP64 if that's a help. Let me know if you need more info
The other DSP's select and add fine.

do you plan to add trackgain and db level settings to replaygain?

to 24, to 16 are handled by Bit Depth
Volume Quieten is merged with Volume Normalize, select a fixed multiply, or peak and lower the desired volume.

          --------------------

Trackgain is used by the volume normalize, or are you talking about the ReplayGain dsp effect?

Re: R12 DSP Effects Beta Test

Trackgain is always calculated by [ReplayGain]

why would you want to change the dB? that is upto the program playing surely.

Hey Spoon, great work on dbpoweramp, I've been using it for over a year and love it.
What mimiihu is referring to is a question I asked over at riovolution.org in reference to MP3Gain. In case you're not familiar, it's a fairly simple program similar to a volume normalizer that scans your MP3s and tells you the perceived volume level, then lets you set a target decibel level and gives you the option of applying this change by track or by album. From the little I understand about it, MP3Gain applies the volume change in a way that can be used by portable players that aren't capable of making use of RG data.

                  Spoon:

I've tried it, and it works fine. What would you say was the best if I want to encode a file with an output normalized to -12 dB? In 11.5, I did this:

                  to 24 bit
                  Volume Normalize (to 0)
Volume Quiten (67%, to resemble -12dB)
                  to 16 bit

                  I've tried this in 12:

                  Bit depth: 24
                  Volume normalize: 0
                  Volume normalize: fixed -12 dB
                  Bit depth: 16

Is this the best way to do it? Or should I use peak -12 dB instead of fixed -12 dB. What's the difference anyway?

                  Thanks

Re: R12 DSP Effects Beta Test

                    You are better:

32 bit float (or 32 bit if you do not have reference)
                    Peak and -12 db
                    16 bit

                    ----

Our replaygain in the volume normalize does not rely on tags, it applies replaygain to the file, there is the desired volume to set the loudness.

Request: Percentage level (as well as db level) for the Normlise plugin please .

I get distortion problems when using the EQ on my iPod so i like to lower the level of the mp2 radio recordings while encoding them to mp3 you see.

Thanks Spoon - you Da Man!
