      I don't know... maybe a found a bug.
If I delete the tag via Batch Converter and immediately look again using Batch Converter it is there (but without a value)

The PowerShell command (below) to look specifically for that tag also finds it

      PS C:\Users\daveb> Get-ChildItem -Path "R:\Abair Mindi - Copy\Wild Heart\01 - Amazing Game.flac" | Select-Object "Song Rating"

      Song Rating

So it is definitely there. And this is "custom" tag so I would think it should not reappear. I can see why a standard tag should remain.

Actually this command PowerShell returns the name on a new line (WITHOUT error) no matter what I call the "tag".
So my above statement is wrong

Have you added "Song Rating" to:
          Code:
dBpoweramp Control Center > Configuration > Advanced Settings > dBpoweramp Reference > Default Tag Edit Fields

simbun - YOU ARE THE MAN!!!!
I originally set this up at least 1 year ago and had forgotten that I DID set that tag as a default. I removed it from the default list and my problem has been resolved!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

              Many thanks to simbun.
He asked if I had set this tag as a default tag. I originally set this up at least 1 year ago and had forgotten that I had in fact set that tag as a default tag. (Control Center - Configuration -dBpoweramp Reference - Default Tag Edit Fields). I removed it from the default list and my problem has been resolved!
I thought that you all might like to know what the solution was. It was self-inflicted pain.
Thanks to all for your assistance.
