    JH,

    I have always felt that: "I Believe In Father Xmas" (from ELPs 'Works' CD) fell under the category of 'Folk':

    And similarly, there is also the middle-section of: 'Pictures ... Exhibition'. Some may disagree though.

    Do you use Style as a subgenre? If so, it makes no sense to use "Rock" as style when you have "Progressive Rock" as the genre. It would be better the other way around.

    This comes down to preference of course, but I see Style as a subgenre. The wiki link doesn't state any style, so in that case genre and style would be the same thing (Progressive Rock).

    I don't have this CD or anything by ELP, but to me they don't feel like Folk but more like your other options + maybe Symphonic Rock or Art Rock.

    I will keep it as: Electropop then.

    Hi,

    I have just ripped a Sugarbabes CD ('Taller In More Ways'):

    I have set the GENRE as 'Pop'. But for STYLE, I have seen various spellings across certain music sources I have referenced. Should it be written as:
    Electropop, Electro Pop, Electro-Pop, or Electro-pop, please?

    I have gone with the former for the sake of getting the disc ripped.

    Cheers,

    Paul

    Hi,

    And so my GENRES to date are:
    Christmas

    Jazz

    Popular

    Progressive Rock

    Stage & Screen

    TOTAL = 110GB

    Cheers.

    Hi,

    Making a start now. I have created a folder called 'Popular'. I just ripped a Neil Diamond CD with:
    GENRE = Popular

    STYLE = Easy Listening

    All of the 'Pop' stuff will also be going into this folder (eg. Madonna, Eric Clapton, Gary Numan) albeit with their own appropriate STYLE tag.

    Thanks,

    Paul

    OK, cheers JH.

    That's a good idea. There aren't too many CDs of this type and so I can easily switch them around at a later date if need be.

    JH,

    POP is going to be next on my list. I was looking earlier and I think I actually have way less than I originally thought. In which case, I may just bundle most of the POPs together (under: 'Pop'). I don't really think I will need to split-Genres here.
