Hi Peter, my first response using quote was again "unapproved" . Thank you for trying but the program stays stuck on "looking for disc" and I have to use force quit to exit. Cheers!Comment

Thanks.
Regarding unapproved posts, forum script is paranoid about non-staff members posting links, defaults to hiding the post, which stops most of the spam.
.. okay, so it's not last 'review metadata' change.
How's this build- https://www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/2025...2025-07-07.dmg ?
I'm having trouble understanding how I broke this, seemingly nothing relevant changed latelyComment

Hi Peter,
Okay, so perhaps this might give you some insight into what is going wrong, at least on my side. I tried this latest build on my Mac silicone M3 running Sequoia 15.5, and got the same result, stuck looking for disc. Out of curiosity I loaded it onto an old Mac that I have which is an Intel chip and running on Monterey 12.7.6. On the old Mac running Monterey the disc loaded right away. So the issue would seem to be something to do with the M3 or Sequoia. That's all that I can think of at this time. I have always run dB on the Mac M3 and never run into this issue before. I hope that helps!
Regards,
IanComment

Thanks for the details.
This bug is getting more and more mysterious. I wouldn't blame M3 or Sequoia right away - we might have a "random" bug in our code, that results in different behavior on specific configuration and goes away with any change of parameters, such as running Intel code instead of ARM.
Please get dBpoweramp to lock up again, open Activity Monitor, double click stuck dBpoweramp process, click "sample" button, post text that it produces.Comment

I'm sorry but this info looks to be about dBpoweramp Music Converter (main dBpoweramp app, not ripper), Release 2025-05-04 (one that didn't yet have this issue).
Please get same info from locked up ripper and I should be able to figure out more info about this problem.
If text gets truncated, email whole to peter@dbpoweramp.com
I'll be able to test this album next week, but the more info the better - since from two macs only one locks up, it might not lock up on mine even on identical disc.
Thanks.Comment

Sorry Peter, you are right! My mistake, it's getting late here again, but let me see what I can do.Comment

Okay, I emailed the right one to you Peter, it was too big to paste here. Sorry again, it seems it isn't my day today.Comment

Hi Peter, YES! That did work! The disc loaded after I deselected ISRC. I see it did pull through the (or some) metadata like album art etc, how important is ISRC in retrieving metadata?
I'm off to sleep, chat tomorrow.
Thanks againComment
