What if you stay clear of 'manual meta review' page in latest dBpoweramp? If you configured dBpoweramp to automatically show it (ripper menu button / Active Providers / After Metadata Display Review Metadata), uncheck the option.
A plausible explanation is that recent changes in that area are going off the rails for you.

Hello Peter, I have tried this and it is still the same, disc wont load and I have to force quit to exit dB.

Hi Peter, Thank you for trying, unfortunately it is the same and the program stays on "looking for disc". I have to force quite to exit.

Hi Peter, my first response using quote was again "unapproved" . Thank you for trying but the program stays stuck on "looking for disc" and I have to use force quit to exit. Cheers!

Regarding unapproved posts, forum script is paranoid about non-staff members posting links, defaults to hiding the post, which stops most of the spam.

Okay, so perhaps this might give you some insight into what is going wrong, at least on my side. I tried this latest build on my Mac silicone M3 running Sequoia 15.5, and got the same result, stuck looking for disc. Out of curiosity I loaded it onto an old Mac that I have which is an Intel chip and running on Monterey 12.7.6. On the old Mac running Monterey the disc loaded right away. So the issue would seem to be something to do with the M3 or Sequoia. That's all that I can think of at this time. I have always run dB on the Mac M3 and never run into this issue before. I hope that helps!
