Thanks. For the moment, though, which is the better of these two options?

Appreciating how busy you will be - and with thanks for the new version - please outline the new (after release 2024-09-30) best practice for adding Catalogue Numbers.
I don't want to duplicate settings.
Thanks in advance…Comment

Thanks.
As far as I can see (someone) please correct me if I’m wrong, there are two places in all of dBpoweramp’s settings where I can make changes.
Yes?
Am I correct?
Are there more, others, please?
Those two places are:- the DSP effect ID Tag Processing vertical menu set to map the tag
- CD Ripper Options > Meta Data & ID Tag > ID Tags > Write ID Tags
- Catalog number (now that the latest version includes it by default; thank you!), and
- Conductor
- Label
- File Type

dBpoweramp Control Centre >> Codec List / Options configure the tag writing for flac.

As you can see Catalog is mapped to CATALOGNUMBER as per your earlier post.Comment

Thank you, Spoon. And thanks for helping me get this far.
What I really need - PLEASE (!) - is a comprehensive overview of which tags and their values need to be set where.
I can see two places:- the DSP effect ID Tag Processing vertical menu set to map the tag
- CD Ripper Options > Meta Data & ID Tag > ID Tags > Write ID Tags
But I remain confused about what each does. Why and how to avoid duplicating settings.
Is there a URL with good clear docs on how to get the most out of the wonderful dBpoweramp (macOS version) for tagging my files, please?

>CD Ripper Options > Meta Data & ID Tag > ID Tags > Write ID Tags
This controls which tags are written, an on and off switch
>the DSP effect ID Tag Processing vertical menu set to map the tag
This allows to rename a tags name, for example if you had a player which could not read 'Artist' but instead needed 'Performer' this tag could be renamed.👍 1Comment

Very many thanks, Spoon - that's a lot clearer now.
And those are the only two places I need to attend to for tagging, are they?Comment

Custom and fixed are for labels who want to add the same tag each CD, ie: Label: some record label (c)Comment

So would a good case be for me who only ever rips FLAC files, so I'd do this:
Thanks in advance for reviewing the text in these four items and advising, please, Spoon… :-)
the same tag each CD, ie: Label:Comment
