    Problem With All Media Guide

    Hi,

I've installed Reference R12 and registered All Media Guide, but when I insert disks no track names are listed. The CDs I've tried are all mainstream and listed as being present in AccurateRip.

In Meta/Settings/All Media Guide, I'm shown as having 361 days of remaining AMG access and the box is checked to allow access to the Internet. Is there some other setting that I'm missing?

I click the Meta button, I choose 'Retrieve From All Media Guide', I re-insert the CD, but there's no change -- everything stays blank. Other rippers (iTunes, EAC) find the same track info with no problem. I assume I'm just doing something wrong, but I can't think of what it is.

    Thanks,
    Chris

My All Media guide is not working either... I have Reference 12, freedb Metadata is working fine. I show as having plenty of days remaining on my all media subscription. I dont have Kasparsky installed. Any other ports i need to have open? or anything else? a way to check base connectivity to the All media servers? i.e. ping an IP etc?

            thanks,

Pinging is no good, as something like Kasparsky alters the data from AMG, and AMGs code in dBpoweramp does not like that. Which security software do you have installed?

                      Version of Windows?
And you're not running any antivirus software at all? You're a braver person than I

                        Its Vista Ultimate...

I know, I know on the antivirus... so far i've spent a lot more time hassling with antivirus software than i've ever had dealing with a virus. If i dont know what it is i stay away... i'm sure most people have a different opinion though.

                        thanks for the help,

Something is blocking the TCP data (not the connection).

Thanks Spoon.. what port/IP would this be happening on so that i can go make sure that nothing (firewall/router etc) is in the way.
