I have a DVR - which I think can be considered a generic branded type. It porduces aac files, which play back fine thru VLC and can indeed be comverted thru VLC. But for obivous reasons I prefer to use dBpoweramp. However it fails when trying any conversion on them. Here are some errors:

When ripping a 2 CD set, and the disc information doesn't auto-fill, you can do a manual search.

However, I've just done a 2 cd release this way. Disc one filled the details in correctly. But when I put disc 2 in, I had to do a manual search for the album again.

Have been ripping with a HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GUE1N, getting 100% accuracy. Loaded onto a new Seagate portable HDD 2tb ( STKM2000400) and playing through a Wiim Ultra.
