video is a large new area to work with... dap is pretty much stable with audio, and adding video would require a lot of work (more than with audio, cause it's more complex...) so I wouldn't expect support soon....
and by the way, dMC is quite capable of extracting audio from video files (such as avi, wmv, etc...)Comment
