Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

I don't see a thread on this, so I'll post here... not on 'edit tags' but on the property sheets in Explorer, clicking on any of the dBPoweramp ones, frequently causes Explorer to crash on my system. I have Explorer now set to run each instance of a file browser in a separate process, which causes only that instance to go. I'm not at all sure what any special circumstances are, to reproduce it.

I really like the 'total time' if you select an album of tracks... or any group of audio files, on the property sheet... it shows the total time. I like that.

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

BobA, I have the same problem and just started a thread about it.

When will the next Beta or the release version come out? I got a warning this morning that my license would expire in a few days, and that I should register.

I think we might have fixed this. Check the next release candidate soon.

What am I doing wrong with [track] [title]?

I use [track] [title] as the filename in my conversions. Quite often I don't have titles for tracks for live music, so there is a track number but the title tag is blank.

When that's the case, I expect the file name for track '01' to be '01.mp3', but I always seem to get '01 01.mp3', '02 02.mp3', and so on.

Is there some way I can make this work as I expect it to?

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

I know a few people on here have a PX-230A

Anyone know the exact cache size?

The detection in R12 reports 0kb, and cache explorer gives me #s all over the place. but I get the numbers 1348, 1350, and 1352 multiple times, so I'll assume it's 1352kb.

Just want to make sure though.

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

I was just wandoring because it hasn't been implemented yet; Will cue files and playlists still be included as options in the new release? Thats all I've been waiting for so far.

                Thanks

Cue files have been pushed back to dMC r13.

Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

Thats unfortunate, because that means I will need to look for a convertor that will support cue files and the file formats I use.
Maybe I'll get dMC once it does support cue files.

I have been using R12 ref Beta 3. It told me that I couldn't perform a secure rip unless I registered. So I uninstalled and installed R12 Ref Beta4 and now get the same thing. Is there a way to register? I am a registered user of R11.5

In other words, it is unuseable until then??

The PowerPack/Reference features and mp3 encoding won't work, but dMC itself will work.

I'm ripping to FLAC, but it will not permit me to do a secure rip. It says that only registered versions can perform a secure rip.

That's because powerpack does not include 'secure' ripping and a bunch of other features that are included in the so called 'reference' version, that you must pay to upgrade over 'powerpack'.

Ie you can can only do 'burst' mode (but you do get accurate rip verification for free).
