    Re: Discussion of dMC R12 Alpha

    So far I am VERY impressed. It will be nice to not have my computer freeze up when ripping difficult discs.

    Suggestions:
    -a skip button for rips that are taking to long
    -use one of the frames at the bottom for displaying more info on the current rip job instead of setting that should not need to be changed very often, if at all.
    -add quality data (ie # of C2 errors returned)
    -allow for per track genre tagging
    -hopefully AMG meta data will separate featured artist from other primary artist and this could be separated in tags as well for better sorting

      Hi guys I posted this earlier but I guess it may have been missed.

      The R12 Beta is looking good. Do you have an ETA for a FLAC Codec?

        Spoon is working on moving all codecs to dMC r12, but he continues to work on the program itself. I feel your pain, I desperately want an Ogg Vorbis codec, but I'll take quality over getting it done quick.

          It is not a problem as I feel the same. It is a good product and getting even better. I will just go back to r11 for now.

            @kwanbis

            Leave on Normal

            @Ltdata

            Try the CLI Encoder and encode to ogg with that

            @EliC

            >a skip button for rips that are taking to long

            ATM clicking the rip button can cancel a rip

            >-add quality data (ie # of C2 errors returned)

            For the end?

            >-allow for per track genre tagging

            Already done, select a single track and change genre

              for each track

              Ive tried that and it doesnt seem to work

              Edit: oh, after selecting a track to you change the genre at the top? It would be better IMHO to change the genre on a per track basis in line with the song

                I've been trying R12 with the secure CD ripper - the speed of ripping when using Accuraterip to confirm results is very promising. Thanks for all your work.

                I've been trying to get it working with MAREO, however not having much luck. The command line I have is as follows:

                Code:
                mareo.ini "[infile]" "[outfile]" "[artist]" "[album]" "[title]" "[track]" "[year]" "[genre]"
                dMC rips it ok (very fast!), but then nothing seems to happen - MAREO does not appear to start, or flashes up very quickly - and the MAREO log is blank. MAREO is definitely being called, because if I remove the quotes from the variables above MAREO crashes!

                Something is happening, but I can't work out what. Kwanbis I was hoping you might have it working, or at least have access to some debug modes in MAREO. I followed your earlier thread where there were no variables being passed - that seems to be working now. If I run dMC in debug mode, I can see the command line that is being passed and the variables are all filled in.

                MAREO is configured right, as if I run it from the command line it encodes as expected.

                Sorry for the ramble, but if anyone has any insight, it would be appreciated!

                Thanks.

                      Tried that with no success - in fact I think when I put the full path (with or without quotes) MAREO crashed, oddly. Thanks for the suggestion Spoon, and for looking kwanbis.

                        I would prefer to be able to just skip one track that is being a problem and continue with the rest of the rip. Hope that is clearer.

                            Any intention to be able to download cover art? This is the only thing missing with the product at the moment and for which I have to use another product, MP3Tag.

                              yes, cover art will be downloaded from AMG when support is implemented. Hopefully there will be support for other cover art resources as a backup.

                                Great work spoon. The interface is still abit clunky but its much much better than past verisons.

                                How and when will cue and log file creation be implemented?
