No, all that will stop working is the ability to encode to mp3 and the extra features provided by the PowerPack, like professional frequency.

what about the window that has all the information about the mp3 file such as encoder and bitrate used when you hold the mouse over the file, does that still work after 30 days?

i just installed the dMCr11.5rc2 and on the popup info window i was talking about, its reporting the wrong encoder. for example, files ive ripped with lame 3.97, its reporting FHG (Guess).

That the pop-up info, that's a part of Windows actually, and dB simply gets integrated into the WIndows shell. Yes, that stays.

The features that are available by clicking on the rocket buttons are the powerpack specific features.

Also the two pseudo-codecs: Arrange music and Tag from file name require the PowerPack.

well i got it to display 3.97 but i had to rip the file again in order for it to do so but this isnt a good fix because id have to rerip all my files just to see the right encoder used.

The information about what mp3 encoder is was used (as displayed in the pop-up tag information) is known to not always be accurate, so I wouldn't place too much faith in that and I definitely would not recommend re-ripping all your files for that reason.

              Best wishes,
              Bill

Lame 3.97 should write a Lame Tag which includes the encoded version, what ever ripped or converted it in the first instance mustn't have written the tag.

Will 11.5 be supporting Audible tag reading and converting? The RC2 version seems to convert the audio nicely, now I just need tags to move to the converted file and I'll be set to go.

That is just down to the audible codec not a particular dbpoweramp version, it will go in but the question is when.

Then go ahead and download the betas of the Illustrate programs you use. There are betas for dAP, Sveta, and dMC. Links below.
Anyone can be a beta tester, all you have to do is download the programs and give us feedback on bugs or if it crashes.

                          Spoon -

A means of querying dMC for the standard filename extensions of supported (installed) codecs within the scripting language would be a helpful addition. This could be implemented similar to the existing means of querying for available codec types.

When I wrote my conversion utility, I hard-coded all of the extensions that I wished to support. This artificially limits the applicability of this utility. I suppose I could have built a small lookup-table into the app...

Or you could poll the compression or input dlls directly to get that extension.
