I seem to have a problem withen running two instances with the new Options page. I have a ROCK and a CLASSICAL instance running. One points to a /ROCK directory and the other to a /CLASSICAL directory to source music. All good so far and shows correctly. However the name of the instance at the top of the page and in the Options General Settings box only reflects ROCK, even when it is looking at the CLASSICAL instance. And changing that text makes no difference.

This is the main "ROCK" instance:

This is the second "CLASSICAL" instance - note it is called ROCK at the top:

Obviously new behaviour as haven't seen it before. Now at .25 version that fixed the playback issue . . .

further to the above, if I select any index file types, they do not save automatically on either instance

I have updated to the latest beta release. Changes to MP3 transcoding still isn't being saved.

Thanks for the new features, especially the amended [SimpleArtist]. Will there not be a Windows beta, only the final version? Just curious (don't want to push anything if it delays the final version). We want to test [SimpleArtist] on a Cambridge streamer.
That has separated them again in the web UI, thanks Peter. And all saves look to be working. Magic

Latest beta is working okay for me.
Layout options page is much better.
Speed with "rescan folders detecting changes" is impressive fast.

I meant to post a new build yesterday, but the forum isn't showing new changes in my original post.

                  Latest downloads:
                  Mac | QNAP | Synology | Linux x86 32-bit | Linux x86 64-bit | Linux ARM 32-bit | Linux ARM 64-bit

                  Changes:
                  • Fixed MP3 streaming options not being applied.

Windows version is literally almost there, cleaning up details.

                    Thanks Peter.

I have installed the latest beta release and I can now save the MP3 Transcode value, however I don't think that any transcoding is occurring.

Not sure if this is unique to the beta release - I disabled the first instance and now have lost access to the Asset configuration page (Linux). The second instance is running though as I can access it from players.

                          Works okay for me.

The filename is Asset-R2024-08-26b-DSM7, but Asset identifies itself with Version: R2024-08-23 beta

Request: is it possible for you to add an option for not adding the AlbumArtist tag to Artist tag when indexing the collection?

                            Thanks for testing.

Looks like just wrong version number slipped in Linux packages, bug fixes are included.

Album Artist vs Artist change is on the todo list for future update.

Added new option for this in today's build.

                                Hi Peter,

Thanks for your fast action on my request.

Just tested it and it works.

The description of this new option "Fill missing Artist tags - Affects files with Album Artist but no Artist set" is a little cryptic for me, because all my albums have also artist tags.
But your implementation is spot on to my request, so you make me happy :-)

After I disabled this option (which then for me gives the result as requested), I think Asset started to rebuild the database because It took several minutes for the endresult.

                                Thanks for you nice work.
