Utility codecs must be enabled first. In order to do so, open dBpoweramp Configuration, Converter tab; there's an "Enable Utility Codecs" checkbox.

Now that R16 has been released, I'd like to put in a feature request for R16.1

Please add the codec to music converter to convert to .m4b files. This is the file type used by audiobooks, and it has been in the Windows version for many years.

              Hi,
The upgrade seems really good but have now encountered a significant problem. For a CD with no meta data, when I manually type in meta data and then select ok to accept the meta data, the dbpoweramp goes back to the main screen and then automatically starts trying to retrieve meta data and since there is none it then replaced all the data I've manually typed in! Is there some configuration I need to select to avoid this or is it a bug that needs to be fixed??

                Thanks for the bug reports.

I will be posting R16.1 beta sometime Monday, with fixes for all documented bugs so far.

Re: dBpoweramp R16 for Mac OS X beta Discussions

                  New beta out as promised:
This version addresses all documented bugs in R16 so far. Current version: beta 8 List of changes since R16: Run External DSP fixes: Now accessible again as it was accidentally left out in R16 Updated and bugfixed configuration dialog, options are no longer reversed, the dialog ensures that you input command0line arguments

Should no longer look up online metadata after manual editing.
