Same problem with MusicBrainz, it's a pity ...

From my experience, the slow responder for the metadata search is usually MusicBrainz. Since they rarely have metadata for my mostly Caribbean music and take anywhere from a few seconds to never in responding to a search, I usually turn them off. Too bad, because when they do have data, its often the most accurate. I'm pretty sure the issue is with MusicBrainz server, not dBPoweramp, it's been an issue for months now.

I really wish that the dBPoweramp search routine hat the option to set a timeout on the search, so for instance I could configure it to give up after 10 seconds or whatever time I chose, instead of hanging the program as it does now.

The refresh button stays down whilst getting metadata (if your version does not the release will).

Also I have fixed the genre code, full release is a day or so away.

    Spoon,

    Beta 11 -
    1) There is no way to know if the Meta Lookup is still running. I've run into this wall several times now. I have 9 copies of cd ripper running (9 cd drives) disks loaded into them, I work through them 1 at a time to check meta and artwork. I am clicking Review Perfect Meta Matches and nothing happens. If it got CD-TEXT then there is data and it may only need a couple of tweaks (Genre, album artist) this I click rip and THEN a window pops up with WAITING FOR META LOOKUP. Any chance of having some indication that the meta lookup is still running? On some of these disks it has taken several minutes to complete the lookup. I'm doing this at work and have a major internet pipe available, and it's 3am MST so really quiet. How about the popup for WAITING FOR META showing up from start of lookup until completed?

    2) CD-TEXT genre is still not decoding the first record correctly. I get a BOX (0x0000) in the genre field.

    Thanks.

    Spoon

I noticed in the last two beta releases that there is a possible bug involving the Encoder Settings tag.

When using FLAC, the Encoder Settings tag now displays...

    -fntousefortagloaddec="F:\Music\CD Rips\Album Artist\P\Prince\(1994) Come\01. Prince - Come.flac" -compression-level-5 -verify

The way it was previously written was like this...

    -compression-level-5 -verify

Is this an intended change, or is it some sort of bug?

Is this in CD Ripper or right click on file >> Edit ID Tag?

Hi Spoon, another focus problem in the tag editor: if a track Title has the focus and any other field is clicked with the mouse, then focus jumps to the Artist tag instead of the to the field that was clicked with the mouse

    Hello Spoon
2 bigs regressions for me (r16 b10) about r16 b9 runs very well
The first, when you use the "multiple tags edit", it's no possible now of delete picture integrate of flacs (flac here is exxample, mst be *.mp3 etc), just mode single make it (sigh) or not found how make it !
the 2th: when you added manually tags, the album (in single tag edit), the name auto of the albums, it's very not cool, option for déselect him possible ?
(old mode, very great), for have choice in auto completation mode or not.

ideas for optimize screen in "multiple converter" mode (8 cores) box more little size when use one laptop for example , possible write name and % in the draw bar and not in bottom, if you not understand me, i make one picture attached for you for you later.
and its possible also ? when have finished alls tasks (100%), have "all the box" change white coulor to green color (if okay) or red color if one error of conversion.
    regards,

This is 'View current Error & Information Logs'?

    >I'v changed it to Using 6 Cores.
It doesn't change to 6 cores and after app shout down it reverts back to 8 core setting.

This is by design, it is temporary setting to free cores, if you want permanent you would use the DSP effect CPU force.
