Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
Cheers, excited to see this as the current beta build is unusable to me due to the performance. :(
Thanks

Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
On the configuration page, you should not have to type your nas address in the library section, rather it should have listed a location already?Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
Hi Spoon
I have tried to install and configure Asset on my QNAP 419.
I went to the configuration page, typed in my NAS address and restarted it ... and I'm still waiting for it to register all my albums. When I use N-Stream it shows no albums.
What have I done wrong?Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
Setting the radio to be streamed as LPCM does not work (using kinsky)
the error message is

No even an hourglass shows up, radio station is not added to the list
When using Wav, station is added to the list, hourglass for 10s but no music
Using asset control it does not work either, when selecting lpcm, there is a red circle around the radio stations and i am unable to add.
put the setting back to 'as is' and will try various radio stations.

Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
Sorry, cannot get radio working, even after more then 20 seconds still no music. Tried different radio stations, same result.
According to the logfile (from memory since i forgot to copy) the connection cannot be opened...
I can copy part of the logfile tonight (UTC +07:00) and post it if that might help...

In Asset configuration page, under "audio format settings", please try setting Radio to be streamed as LPCM, see if that helps.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
Testing the same. All fine except streaming 192/24 Flac files. I am using Pioneer Elite N 30 as streamer. I've the streamer connected to the NAS over AC router and router bridge.
The sound is crackling with lot of noise.
All other works fine. But having hi res 192/24 support is important.
I don't have this problem with the same setup with Twonky.
Any way I can increase the buffer at Asset's size to solve this problem ?

Sourav
What exact QNAP model are you running Asset on?Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
Hi All,
Owner of a TS-419P+ und 4.1.0, I was never able to open the web so far. Trying the above is not solving the issue.
I see the Asset process starting (eating approx 40% at the beginning) then a second Asset process being created upon request to open the webpage. But nothing else happens.
Asset is also not appearing on any media renderer.
Hope this helps.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
As a test (if you can) connect the QNAP and pioneer without the AC plugs.Leave a comment:

Re: Asset UPnP for QNAP
[ also relevant to anyone else having the same problem - configuration page entirely inaccessible ]
1. *DISABLE* the Asset app to make sure it's not running, using QNAP App Center.
2. Please log in to your QNAP unit using SSH.
3. Navigate to your Asset QPKG installation directory.
Example:
cd /share/HDA_DATA/.qpkg/Test8/bin
Exact path may vary depending on your QNAP model (the "HDA_DATA" part - some configurations use "MD0_DATA" instead) and Asset version (the "Test8" part) installed.
4. Run Asset manually
./AssetUPnP
See what the console says afterwards. If it fails to start up, it ought to show some useful information bits there.
In order to quit the running Asset process you've started, press Ctrl+C.
