    Re: Asset UPnP v3.1

I've managed to do this following guidance from Spoon in an earlier post. Simply install the registered XP version in WHS 2011, then the beta on top.

    Re: Asset UPnP v3.1

i've been using Asset uPNP for some time and was pleased to find the beta as i have just upgraded my home server tto WHS 2011 and the current production version of Asset uPNP would not reinstall on this WHS version. Beta is working very well - no problems experienced. Indeed it seesm to work better than the previous version. When you get to teh final release version it would be good to consider those of us with the paid for version as I can't instal the beta on top of the previous version as I am not able to instal the previous version on WHS 2011.
    Thanks,
    David

    Re: Asset UPnP v4

Back from a business trip and installed it. I cant get search results in Bubbleds 1.4, although it is enabled (upnp search). Can anyone confirm this is an issue from either asset or bubbleds?.

It's great to finally be able to use PlugPlayer without crashing Asset. I'm still a little confused about the search function - all I get for results are individual tracks. Am I missing something?

Wasn't the ability to do an advanced search by "bits" going to return in the final version of Asset 4?

Thanks for adding search, Spoon - I'd not even thought about that but I still have PlugPlayer on my iPad and search works a treat.
Just need Linn to pull their socks up and add it to Kinsky Touch!

Nice!! Where can I test it? Is the link to the beta updated with this version?

Try uninstalling R4, then reboot, and reinstall, if you have security software make sure it is not blocking asset (as the program has changed some do).

    Re: Asset UPnP v4

i have a registered version 3 that was working just fine. I installed the beta and my Sony blu-ray players and Onkyo reciever no longer recognizes Asset. I tried installing multiple times. Rebuilt the database, etc. What went wrong?

BTW - I messed around with Asset Control. Very nice. Can't wait to see it evolve.

Great news Spoony and thanks for the effort, this is the best for server for my Linn system by far!
