Been using the codec [running win98se and dmc Release 10 (Beta 5)]. All wave files I have converted have clipped at 160kbs. I will try some other bitrates later to see if it happend there. I downloaded the codec today and it still shows as beta 2 - is this as it seems or is it beta 3?Comment

I've tried your the mp4 codec.
Started with a small test .wav file to test the quality.
tried 48k to 512k and lots in between.
Worked fine - but bit rates above about 320k all gave the same sized file.
Every file played back fine and it even played on my friends phone.
Then I tried to convert a 6min .mp3 file to .mp4 to send to the phone, but I got an error about 5% into the conversion.
The error showed up in WindowsXP and forced dbpowerAMP to close. The error was related directly to the mp4 codec.
An .mp4 file was created.
There was about 1 to 2 seconds extra gap at the start of the file and it converted about 2 seconds of the audio giving a 4 second file instead of the full 6mins!
Hope that helps you get some bugs out.Comment

Looks like a memory Access violation?
Hope that helps. Sorry about the delay.Comment

You can send it to dbpoweramp@dbpoweramp.com and I will pass it onto the creators of fastenc (the aac encoder).Comment
