              MP4

I convert a ogg file (3.13 min) to MP4. It takes about 3 min to convert. No errors, MP3 and wma is smaller.
So it isn't only for video.

Work like a charm for me, first easy solution to produce mp4 files i find !

I just wonder, since this mp4 encoder work wih psytel encoder, it will never be updated since psytel stoped development at 2.15. Any chance to see a mp3 encoder using the quicktime codec, not saying QT is better for now, but can become better in future.

It is for audio only, not sure why it is crashing for you :(

As far as updates are concerned, I am seeing what Nero will do (they employ the pystel programmers now).

well some weird things happend. it did all of a sudden start working. i tried ultra and it worked. then tried normal and it worked ok too.

what i noticed is though if your halfway through converting it will leave the wav file ~dmcin in the root directory. in my case that was a 46meg file left behind. then I could shut down the dos window and when i went to shut down the task, the task was named "winoldap" not responding.

i also noticed ~dmcout.mp4 file in my root directory also. this must have been from when my conversions were failing, i dunno.

when i try a 192/bitrate mp4 convert from ogg i get the errors and a file name with an mp4 extension and file type as "MPEG4-Movie" file.

the error causes it to fall over on all from 48kbit/s through to 512kbit/s

all the pre sets work fine for me.
