Alt-Tab to the other Window? I know this isn't the solution you are looking for, but it should help.
Thanks for the tip, forgot all about that possibility.
Still hope there's a better solution but it certainly helps :smile2:

      Beta Update 18th July 2008

      Various small fixes:

      tag window in task bar,
bug fix: CD Ripper - selecting a profile with the same encoder as last profile was not loading the settings for new profile encoder,
Music Converter: No longer creates ARTIST id tags for naming if one does not exist (TITLE is created from filename if does not exist)
All programs: if running in debug mode, the debugging infomation will show even if program GPFs
Edit id tag displays common id elements blank if a track has no tags
      Naming added [length_mmss], [length_hhmmss], [composer] & [conductor]

        Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter R12.3

Is working fine now. But came across a new small inconvenience: if the tagname is a bit longer then it's truncated to 8 characters and 3 points and there's no way to see the complete tagname.
p.e I can't see the difference in tagname of REPLAYGAIN_TRACK and REPLAYGAIN_ALBUM (at least I think they are called that way, I can only see REPLAYGAI... 4 times).
In couldn't find anything related in the configuration (but maybe I'm overlooking something)

        P.S.
The tags are written by another program using capitals. Replay Gain tags written by DBpoweramp looks like this
        replaygain_...
        replaygain_...
        replaygain_t...
        replaygain_t...
a bit more helpful, but it could be more clear.

            Update 24th July

Edit id tag - remembers the last postion of the window + if window is large enough (starting from last time only), the elements have extra room to show

This should be the last update, help is updated, full release in 2 weeks.

            ----------

I will try to install a 64 bit verison of Windows to test, it is not easy as they do not run in Virtual PC...

Thanks for the update Spoon, will try this one out.
But I came across another small matter. In Edit ID Tag the filename is truncated to about 42 characters in the title-bar of the window.
It doesn't matter how large I make the window, it's not showing the full filename.

                Re: dBpoweramp Music Converter R12.3

Out of curiosity, I installed the beta over my 12.2 reference on two machines (two licensed seats) and there was always a countdown towards an expiration date that now says the trial has ended. Will I still have full reference functionality out of the beta until final release time?

Thanks. And looking forward to that multi-ripper product! I could put something like that to good use once I find some hardware.

See the first post in this thread. Spoon said that Reference is put into Trial status that will expire in November or so, well after the final of r12.3 should be out.

I did see that but figured the countdown was some oddity. Time to continue 2 system ripping again. Thanks for the response.

FWIW, just gave it a whirl and with the trial expired, secure ripping is disabled so back to 12.2 I go.

The trial shouldn't be expired already. You installed the Beta over your current version and did NOT uninstall your current version, correct?

Dangit. It's a user error. I had selected the option to uninstall when installing the betas. Works just fine if one selects the right option. Sorry about that.

Still can't see the full tag-element name. Looks as if nothing changed. I didn't uninstall the previous beta.

                              Right click >> Edit Tag

size the window to much larger, then close, next show it will show the full tag name.

Sorry Spoon, it doesn't work for me. I made the window 1280 pixels wide (my whole desktop) closed the window and after reopening it has the default width again (still only see replaygain_t...)
                                Using Windows XP sp2.

I will uninstall and try again later today.
