    Do you mean that the file you're playing is streamed on the internet and you cannot actually download it and save it? I am afraid then that the recording will be as bad as how it plays off the net.

    You can improve this in Windows Media Player >Tools > Performance and set Buffering to a high amount like 300 seconds to allow for the entire piece to be fully downloaded before it starts playing. It may work, but you'll have to be ready to start recording a couple of seconds before it's finished downloading, kind of hit and miss thing.

    There may be other ways, always depending on what type of file it is.

      I dont think it is as difficult as that.
      I just load mu Cubase program, make a new audio track, connect the program to
      the audio output channel of my PC and then.... record.
      After this i can save the file in any format i want i.e. mp3, wave, etc...
