Sorry to give bad news, but no.

At 10:19 PM I attempted to convert the test file and no event was generated.

I downloaded an opus test file and it converted fine. There must be something about the opus files that the dbp/codec does not like. The odd thing is that other downloadable programs and online converter programs don't have the same issue.

The file even though it is labeled as .opus, it is not an opus file. It is in fact a .webm file (video) which contains opus audio.

dBpoweramp Video Converter can extract the audio if you change the extension to .webm and convert to Wave. The music converter cannot read .webm files.

Thank you very much for sticking with it Spoon

I will do just as you recommend.

In the interests in trying to be helpful for those that experience a similar issue in the future. Should a user use (what I generically call) a YouTube ripper to rip audio tracks from YouTube and select .OPUS they may have similar problems and this could be a solution.

One alternative is a windows program called TAudioConverter (mine is downloaded from Portable Apps). Of course it does not do it quite a elegantly and with less control.

                Best Regards,
                Trainerwump
