On CD Ripper, Remove ,The from artist tag

While I'm ripping CD's, I prefer NOT to have The in the name of the artist. For example, Bongos, The. I just want to see Bongos. Is this possible?

I am assuming you got and answer or figured it out since it's been a few weeks, but I don't see a response. You will see that tag across the top of the screen. all you have to do is simply select all tracks and then edit the tag at the top of the screen to what you want. It will be applied to all of the tracks that you have selected.

Thank you daveb30 . It's what I do now; my problem is sometimes I forget to remove the from the name and then I have to go back and edit the tags again and move the files. Not a big deal. I was just hoping there was some magic that could it automatically for me.

Have you tried replacing ", The" with nothing in the Artist field

Thanks daveb30. I was really hoping that would do it. But it didn't. I tried leaving it blank and using [remove] in the 2nd column as the instructions suggest and it still didn't work :(

You would have to refresh the metadata retrieval, as those rules are only applied on read.

On the toolbar in CD ripper, click 'Refresh'

If you have the option 'Replace The Artist with [artist], the' as the source of ,the, then likely this happens after the word replacement,

it was checked, putting ,The at the end. I would prefer that because it's easier to detect ,The instead of The because some bands have the word in their names. Any chance we can use regular expressions like ^The to indicate only The at the beginning of the name should be replaced?
