If you hold the mouse over the FLAC file, you see the id tags and words 'dbpoweramp' at the bottom of the popup info tip?
    Hi Spoon,

No - all I see if I hover over the individual track is the following 3 fields:

    Item type
    Size
    Length

No 'dbpoweramp' at the bottom of the popup

Then on your system no shell integration is functional, the right click Convert To, Edit Tags, popup info, these are all in different shell DLLs.

When you run dBpoweramp Configuration, a Window shows entitled:

'Do you want to allow this program to make changes to your computer'

        This is the UAC prompt:

Do you get this on your system?

The issue on this thread is you have 4 (or more different people) will pretty much different issues:

Yours - no shell integration works
Another person - Edit ID Tag does not invoke the tag editor
Another person - No convert to if installed 64 bit version on 64 bit Windows, but does if install 32 bit version on 64 bit windows
Another person - the reverse of above
Another person - installer prevented from installing even uninstall entries (almost certainly it cannot install the required entries into the registry to make dBpoweramp fully functional).

Ah, ok - I did get that prompt and clicked to allow the program to make changes. As I would with all fresh installations from trusted sources (i.e. ones that I had paid for their software!).

I can see that my issue is not soluble in the way that the other problems are... sadly!

All further analysis will be gratefully received as usual...

If you run dBpoweramp configuration, on the music converter tab, all the shell extensions are checked?

I'm with you, the situation is not too easy (and from a user's point of view not very satisfying too).

But how can we sort things out?
                How can we help you?
What kind of information do you need from us (things like OS, OS Version, dbpa version etc. pp.) ?
Shall we use ShellExView and give you the data for the dbpa components?
Shall we use other diagnostic tools?

Is it better to have a separate thread for each type of problem?

I would like to help you but you have to tell me what you need to analyse and fix the problems.

I don't know what shell extensions are and there isn't a section labelled with this under the music converter tab! If these are the things in the 'Windows Explorer Integration' section of this tab, then yes, everything is checked that it is possible to check.

Re: How do I get right click menus to work?

Lets see what Windows says about the dll registration:

press start menu and type: cmd
at the top of the menu will be 'cmd' shown, right click on it and select Run as Administrator.
                    type:

                    regsvr32 "c:\program files\dbpoweramp\dmcshell.dll"

A popup text box will appear with status of registration, press CTRL+C on this popup to copy the msg and paste results here. This only applies to those with no entries on the right click, for the person who has Edit ID Tag not working on right click (but convert to does work) send an email please (about >> email above)

                      Hi Spoon,

                      This is what comes up:

Name:	dbpopup.PNG
Views:	1
Size:	3.7 KB
ID:	292863

                      No idea what this means!

                        @Vanblerk

                        If you could visit:

Down near the bottom is the download link, download the zip, unzip and run shell view ex.

Then browse down to the first item named dBpoweramp Thumbnail Handler

select dBpoweramp Thumbnail Handler, dBpShell Class, dBpShell Class, dMCIShell Class

then right click on one >> html report selected items, save the .html file and post here please.
