Remove background noise, noise in tracks from a FM Broadcast album ?

Hi all.

I have found a live concert withe clear sound but there is much background noise in in the tracks, i think it is from an old cassette or something. I wonder if i can use "DSP effects" to remove some of the noise when i convert from FLAC to mp3, or if you have another tip to remove the noise as much as possible.

You could try the DSP effect Equalizer and drop the freqencies where the noise is the most, to find this you would have to use an audio editor such as audacity and do a spectrum plot on an area of just noise.
