How to upgrade r11.5 directly to r13.1?

Sorry if this is a dense question, but I don't see my exact situation addressed in the FAQs anywhere. I'm currently running r11.5 with a registered Power Pack and registered Sveta r5. I have downloaded dMC-r13.1-Registered.exe.

Should I follow the instructions in post #2 of the thread

For dMC, If you are using Reference, make sure you are installing the Reference Registered version, NOT the trial. If you are using the PowerPack, you simply install the latest PowerPack trial over top of your existing install and make sure to NOT uninstall the old version. For dCW, you need to uninstall your current version

and just substitute "r13" where it says "r12"? Or do I need to go through an r12 installation first? I think I understand about needing all new compatible codecs.

    Thanks

Correct, I edited the post for clarity.

HOWEVER, if you want to keep using Sveta, install dMC r13 to a different directory and the codecs to the r13 directory. I added this to that thread you linked to.

Thanks for the answer. I installed r13.1 to a different directory and it seems to be functioning well. I'll keep r11.5 around until I no longer need Sveta or the mp3Pro CLI codec.
