lets talk mdfs

hey peeps,
i have this problem which is i have a ps2 game on my pc and bascially there are just two files, .mdf and .mds and bascially mdf is a huge 4gb file whilst the other is about 4kb so when i load the mds(small one) it loads the mdf but on a dvd burner ready to burn . so i burnt it but it didnt work on my ps2 so i just wanna ask, do i take the .bin file out of the .mdf and burn that because the mdf files has some other files too(small ones).

P.s, i am only used to burning .iso files and they work fine...

P.s Whilst Waiting For An Answer I Have Extractyed The .bin File Out From The .mdf And Nero Doesnt Alow It To Burn As An Image.

So I Have No Idea What To Doo.......

Aren't .mdf and .mds files created by Alcohol 52/120?

Alcohol 120% has the ability to burn these files to CD/DVD. Alcohol 52% can't burn files but instead it can be used to mount the files as a virtual drive so that it could be copied using something like Nero.

Alternatively a quick google showed me that you could also try MagicISO.

How did you obtain these files? Did you create them yourself?

nah wayne i downloaded them as 1 .rar file then just extracted them

Have you tried using the programs he suggested, alcohol 120% or MagicISO, to burn these files?

Has your PS2 been chipped so that it can play home burnt games?

mds/mdf is an alcohol 120% image
if you are going to burn it to disk, use that

if you dont have a mod chip installed on your ps2, it wont work
(apparently there are ways around not having one, but you'll have to do some research for that)

YES i used alcohol and..It worked so thank you to every1 and i think ill stick with alcohol now.
