Are you wanting to create such an .asx file or decode/convert such a file?

.asx is a meta-file format that is comprised of audio and/or video files. It Could contain only one or a few such files or it can contain a full albums worth of tracks, possibly with other content as well. Generally you should be able to play such a file but converting may be a bit more difficult. Please refer to the FAQ on meta-files (includong .asx) by ChristinaS. here:

I see the questions involving converting files with extensions such as .ram, .smil, .asx, .wax, .wvx, .m3u, etc keep coming back in various forms. Okay im having trouble locating the exact codec to dL into dbpoweramp to convert files such as .asx and m3u files. please need help.???
