    Can't install lateset update R16.3

    Hello,
Once I try to install the latest release (dMC-R16.3-Ref-Registered.exe) the installer crashes with this error message:

Name:	2017-11-23-13_06_13-Setup.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	12.5 KB
ID:	297243

    I'm running Win10 x64 1709 latest update.
I tried to re-download the updater, run as admin, disabled anti-virus... even on another PC.... same behavior.

Any idea of what's going wrong with the installer ?

However, I've noticed that the installer creates an executable file within "C:\Users\<user>\Appdata\Local\Temp" named: "A1B.tmp-dMC-Ref-Registered-64bit__SPI_WIN64.exe"
If I manually run this file, the installation starts as expected and runs well.
    Strange isn't it ?

    Cheers,
    Bernard

Something is blocking the installer from running it's self. The 2nd exe is run with elevation, so you should see a request to allow the installer access to your system.

Which security software are you running?

Avast on Windows 7 blocked it on the first attempt, as it wasn't a "common file".

Although security software does a very worthwhile job, at times they are really dumb.

          Kaspersky Internet Security...
but disabling doesn't help, same pop-up error message.
