    Metadata with Batch Ripper

    Hello,

The metadata results we have been getting with Batch Ripper have not been very good lately.

Can someone explain the current status of metadata data retrieval for Batch Ripper?

I do understand that it is significantly different than CD Ripper.

I believe it use to be that you were able to use 400 lookups with AMG for free. But I believe AMG is going away?

Do you get unlimited lookups with GD3 with Batch Ripper?

Are there any other lookup services available for Batch Ripper? If yes, how do you implement them?

If you pay for extra lookups is that payment associated with the individual version of dBpoweramp Reference or with the installed version of Batch Ripper?

    Thank you!

Yes AMG is going away, we no longer sell AMG lookups.

GD3 you have to pay (to GD3) on a per disc basis to receive this data in Batch Ripper, the link is in Batch Ripper on the metadata setup page.

Musicbrainz and freedb are not restricted in Batch Ripper.

      Thank you Spoon.

I ran a bunch of CDs through and yes, signing up for and enabling GD3 (and unchecking All Media Guide) seems to work much better.

Is there any where that explains (in detail) what all the Metadata Providers setup page in Batch Ripper parameters do?

Some examples would be very helpful.

You can post specific questions here if not covered by the batch ripper help file.

Internally CD Ripper needs the art as Jpg, it is how it stores.

                See:

After installing dBpoweramp on Windows 8.1, access by (down arrow highlighed in red): Which shows:

It is similar for Windows 10, you have to browse to the dBpoweramp Music Converter section in the start menu.
