UPC - based disc library

Hi,

I would like to make a UPC-based music library, since I own same albums in (many) different editions and UPC number is probably the only way how to correctly identify batch ripped CD´s.
Unfortunatelly when I use PerfectMeta, the UPC number is usually wrong. Is there a way how to setup PerfectMeta to use UPC number directly from CD itself, not from the online database?

You posted in Batch Ripper, are you using Batch ripper?

Yes, I do. I use it with Nimbie.
That's why I am asking because with prompt before every CD, batchripping becomes a nightmare

It is not possible with Batch Ripper to use the UPC from the disc (and only about 1 in 10 discs have a upc, depending on collection).

I see... and do you know about any different tag which has the same benefits as UPC/EAN ( = unique number which can later be found on internet etc.. ), but can be used with the batchripper?

You can enable the freedb id tag this is unique for each disc.
