    Re: ID3v2 Tags?

You can add new tag fields with the dMC Tag Editor, but I don't think they get preserved through a conversion.

      Re: ID3v2 Tags?

Ah, I think we're talking at cross purposes. I'm still talking about about editing 2.3 tags with MMC and you're talking about converting them from 2.4 using dMC - I understand why we are confusing each other .

I've now found something that will edit the 2.4 tags (ID3-TagIT) so will not have to do the conversion. It's means I can't use MMC to properly read the tags, edit them or organise my MP3s which is a shame as it's functionality I find really useful - even with its limited tag-editing capabilities MMC is still the most functional MP3 database I've come across - but I can wait for the next release which will hopefully support v2.4 tags. Mind you, I'm waiting for the next release more in hope than expectation as the last one was October 2004.

You might want to put a request on the Wishlist for support for ID3v2 3.4 tags, by the way.

Just thought I'd throw this out there... it seems that iD3v2 tags are not written in Vista unless dbPoweramp CD Ripper is run as an administrator.
