Not sure where I should post this:
I just bought a Philips 077/17 mp3 player and installed the Sveta Portable audio file, HDD060 (driver I believe), and SPA Removeable file (my mp3 player shows up as a drive). I'm a total idiot when it comes to this technical stuff, so excuse my questions and long explanations!
Everything worked fine....I added a few mp3 files and they showed up on my player's drive (and even played off that drive and on my computers speakers so i assume it transferred correctly). When I went to the bottom of the screen to "safely remove hardware" option it came up with a heirarchy of " usb mass storage device", "philips mass storage device", and "generic drive (mine happens to be J:/)" so I assumed if i chose the first option "usb mass storage device" that i would close all of them. When i did this and disconnected the usb cable from my player it said that there was a problem and to reconnect my player to the computer. I tried to disconnect all three of them (separately) and still got the error on my mp3 player.
Isn't this the way to disconnect after transferring files to an mp3 player? Has anyone else had this problem? Now no matter what I do i get the error, i can't figure out how to disconnect without the error!
thanks for any help!
