unfortunately, i can't play the file, so auxilary db is out of the question...
If you know a player for .uax, that could be helpfull

Have you checked www.unreal.com ? Maybe there's something there. In any case, since these files are for some kind of games, perhaps when you play the game you can use dMC Auxiliary Input. Well, I'm not a gamer, so maybe this won't work if it takes over the entire screen.
I'm wondering if the .uax extension isn't a disguised something or other.
Try to rename it to .ra for instance and see if it plays in Real Player.
thanks for the ideas, I could play the game and record with the auxilary at the same time, but it probably would be difficult to get the right sound to play. I'll download realplayer and try changing the extension...
thx,

I don't know that Real Player is the right one, it's just a hunch. The same thing may be done for WMP, and changing the extension to .wma for instance. Trial and error, unless somebody knows exactly what it is.
One of my friends recoded .uax music using a Winamp plugin and Wave output. However, he has since lost the plugin and the name of it. But now you know there's hope!
I tried that after i installed WinAmp, but i couldn't get it to work, but it was umx instead of uax, similar but not the same... Oh well, I'm going to see if Mplayer on Linux can play it...
