well this is interesting. perhaps everyone should test the skin from here then now: http://www.sensory-fusion.com/forum/showthread.php?t=71 and report back the results.

if it is a case of server corruption then that problem will resolve soon anyway.

      Razgo,
I tried the download from your site after I saw the previous post.
I uninstalled from control panel and deleted from the registry so I could be sure to have a clean start. No mainamp. Only the Tray.

It would be good to know what operating system 'savagcl' is using.

For a little bit of time I was unable to reset the mainamp at all with X and Y.
Reloaded the original skin from a disc and finally got it back.

I've been testing on the old skin site throughout the evening. May have some positive results. Got a good download after deleting one skin window.

Just curious, are there some extra files in the StudioPro Amp folder from Explorer? I'm seeing some duplicates on all skin windows. (AVG update).
I'm thinking this may be the "Trace Skin" file from the Skin Designer.

Will post back. Trying a few more things first to verify.

OK. I see from his original skin designer post that he's using WinXP.

          Re: Skin Review: Curt: StudioPro

maybe savagcl had the original studio skin installed?

i just uninstalled studio, studio pro, and duel pro skins. then i deleted them from the registry. then i rebooted.

downloaded skin studio pro skin from my site. installed and only got the "tray" and no main amp or other skin parts appeared.

so that rules out any server corruption problems.

              Re: Skin Review: Curt: StudioPro

              Razgo,

I think the problem has been the Backdrop option I added as an update after the original file was uploaded to the skin site.

I removed it and got a good file.
I put it back in, and the problem resurfaced.
              So its been removed.

Try it now from the old skin site. I think its fixed.

                    I'm going to bed!

I just took a look at that backdrop size. It was 1282 x 1027.
Perhaps a couple of pixels too large to work.
It worked just fine in DualPro before I stretched it out to accomodate a 1280 x 1040 resolution.
Maybe I'll mess with it again sometime...or offer it as a spare part to be added by users who want to apply it after it shows up. :D

Thanks for your help and patience.

                      Re: Skin Review: Curt: StudioPro

Yes, its WinXP (Home) version 2002 w/sp1.

After the fix about changing the X/Y to 10 was in, i just re-downloaded the
zip. Removed the older skin and also cleaned the registry of any leftover
traces, re-booted and installed the newest skin. Works fine. All panels comes
                      togeather nicely.

Cavat: I did something that created a black panel from the bottom of the player
to the bottom of the screen and to the left/right screen edges. I
dont remember what it was tho. Will have to play it somemore.

Note: I dont assign any file types to Studio(dBAMP), just use drag/drop.
Simply because i primarily use WinAmp for playing since it will also play RA and
RM files. So WinAmp playing RA/RM and the AuxConverter gets me a decent wav/mp3 output.

                        I do have 1 question -
How do i revert back to the basic skin?

A button on studioPro to do this would help. When trying different/new things sometimes its better to do it from original setups.

                        thanks,
                        savagcl

I'm not sure from whence you are trying to convert. If you are trying to convert from the full Studio to the single panel in the upper left corner, you click on the button that says "Studio." (At least that was the case with the the first two versions of this skin, I haven't tried the newest version). If it is different on the newest version, please elt me know.
                          Best wishes,
                          Bill Mikkelsen

                            Hi savagcl,

I think you're wondering how to switch back to the default skin (or any other for that matter). A right mouse click on any part of the skin (any skin) that is not a button will get you dAP's menu by which you can select a different skin from. This tidbit is included on StudioPro from its onboard "Help" button.

The Menu is also available from MMC.

If you're just trying to collapse the Studio down to just the player, it is as Xoas said, press the "Studio" button.

Hope this helps you. Post back if you need more info.
                            Thanks - Craze
