I have the same problem, cannot play an Audio CD. One thing is odd though. I have Audio CD Input installed as well, and in the options the Drive letters and the hardware are mixed up. In reality my DVD-rom (and Audio CD player) is F: but Audio CD Input recognizes it as G: and with this setting I am able to rip CD:s without problem. My CD-burner is recognized as F: and it is really the G:-drive in reality.
So: Is this the reason why I can't play Audio CD's?
Thanks for a quick answer!
Try Start >> Programs >> dBpowerAMP Music Converter >> Configuration >> dMC Audio CD Configuration
and set Communication to 'NT/2000 Built-in (Limited)'
I just downloaded both DAP and the Converter. I am able to rip CD's OK, but the player won't play CD's. I have WinXP, and I tried changing the configuration settings listed above, but it still does not work. My E drive is my CD/DVD drive and my F drive is my CDRW drive. Everything else seems to work OK. Any suggestions?
