dB cannot read my CD-R drive

Not dB's fault, but I've been having difficulty with my CD-R lately. I think it may be a driver problem, but conveniently, the mfg has just gone out of business (CenDyne). When I first installed dB, it couldn't read my drive and you gave me some advice to get it working. Could you refresh my memory? I believe you sent me a link to test the drive.

    Thanks much,

    KM

Select Audio CD Input >> Options >> Advanced and set Command to NT/2000 Built-in (Limited).

I did. I think it's a Windows problem. Now it doesn't even see that drive. It doesn't see my DVD now, either.

Maybe it's your disk controllers going bad. I've had that problem recently. My hard drives would just disconnect and not be recognized by the BIOS anymore, and, if I left the computer OFF for a full night, the day after it would boot up for about 15 minutes and then disconnect again. Turned out if was a controller problem, had to change the motherboard.

Check the connectors are pushed into the drives fully and MB.
