I have this common problem of different volume level on the various tracks of my MMC, annoying specially on my usual random playing. I read something about it in the forum, I understood I had to update from my DMCr11 version. Can I have more informations on that?

Re: Equal volume on various tracks playing
You can use some of the DSP effects in dMC to make your audio files the same level. However, if you are using a player that supports ReplayGain, you can use this utility codec to add tags to your file to equalize the volume without altering the audio data itself. However, dAP doesn't support RG, so you would be best off using the "Volume Normalize" DSP effect and choose the "ReplayGain" option for it. -
Re: Equal volume on various tracks playing
Thanks for the immediate answer, but is that what I have read then, that the option 'ReplayGain' exists in latest versions? (since in my r11 version there is no such a function). Anyway, should I hope that in your player's next version you will include this precious for me and others, I hope, function? It cannot be an acceptable for me answer for me to use another player.Comment

Yes, the dAP replacement "dBpoweramp Renaissance" is currently in early development, read about it here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=17415Comment

Re: Equal volume on various tracks playing
Thanks for helping me see what is already written in the informations but I failed to see. Think though that I still have to go to an updated version of the converter again to obtain the possibility to have the regain possibility. Truth is that I am sort of afraid to proceed, because I think I will put my song material and their id tags at risk. I think I read about the r13 that it does not completely correspond to the player's version, something like that.Comment

Re: Equal volume on various tracks playing
You will have to install r13 to a different directory than dAP and install the codecs again, as when dMC r12 came out, a new codec system was released, but dAP still needs the old "legacy" codecs. See here for instructions: http://www.dbpoweramp.com/legacy-compatibility.htm .Comment
